Tips to Spring Clean and Organize Your Home

Last week, I had the pleasure of speaking on a panel at the California Closets' beautiful store in Tribecca. Our topic: Spring Clean: Your Home-Body-Mind.

 

Highlights

Below are a few highlights in my mind:

  1. You can fold your clothes, underwear, and socks so that when you open your drawers and open your closets, you see little "presents." Imagine how that might alter how you start your day or unwind as you get out of your day clothes for bedtime! Founder of Organize Decor, Samantha Mech, and Ashley La Found, founder Of Space and Mind, demonstrated fun, easy ways to transform our under attire into "gifts." I recorded them live in Insta-stories, but forgot to save the videos. So below is one from master organizer, Marie Kondo.
  2. CBD sparking water is a thing now.
  3. My first cryofacial was relaxing, soothing, and pleasant!

 

 

My Tips

People seemed to really like my nontoxic room deodorizing tip of the following: I put dry rice in a glass mason jar, add a few drops of essential oils, and leave in a space that needs deodorizing. Certain essential oils have germ-fighting properties, like tea tree oil. I love the scent of wild orange so that's what I tend to use.

I learned an awesome tip from someone in the audience. For nontoxic scents in the laundry, take a clean cloth, spritz with eucalyptus oil, then include the cloth in the drying cycle. Voila! Nontoxic, pleasant scented laundry.
